BuddyPress incorporates a number of widgets that you can add within the themes’ widget areas. These widgets include:

(BuddyPress) Friends

Displays a list of either active, newest or popular members. The widget also provides options to set a maximum number of friends rendered as well as linking the widget title to the members’ directory

(BuddyPress) Groups

Renders a list of active, newest and popular groups. Provides also an option to render the groups alphabetically as well as link the widget title to the Groups directory.

(BuddyPress) Members

Displays a list of active, newest and popular members. It also provides an option to link the widget title to the Members directory.

(BuddyPress) Latest Activities

Renders the latest activities within the site. Activities are rendered based on the following types:

New Members, Profile Updates, Updates, rtMedia Updates(When using rtMedia plugin), Friendships, New Groups, Group Memberships, Group Updates, Posts, Comments.

(BuddyPress) Log In

Displays a login form for logged out users and a logout link for logged in users

(BuddyPress) Recently Active Members

Displays photos of the recently active members. The widget also provides an option to set the maximum number of members displayed.

(BuddyPress) Who’s Online

Renders the profile images of members who are currently online. It also provides an option to specify the maximum number of members who are online.

(BuddyPress) Primary Navigation

Renders BuddyPress primary navigation within the sidebar of your site. It is recommended to use it as the first widget of the sidebar and only once.

(BuddyPress) Sitewide Notices

Renders the notices posted by the administrator within the site.
