To enable various BuddyPress components, you will need to navigate to the Settings > BuddyPress > Components section.

Extended Profiles: Enables you to customize profile fields that allow your users to add in more details.

Account Settings: Enables users to edit their account configurations and details.

Friend Connections: Helps users make connections with each other within the site.

Private Messaging: Allows users to have private conversations.

Activity Stream: Helps in rendering of the stream of activities on the site.

Notifications: Allows members to receive notifications on recent activities as well as customize notification settings.

User Groups: Allows the creation of groups with separate members and activitystreams.

Site Tracking: Helps in tracking what’s happening in your site, specifically within posts and comments.

Buddypress Core: This option brings BuddyPress functionality into reality. It hence cannot be deselected.

Community Members: Provides member features within the site. This cannot be deselected as BuddyPress can’t function without members.

Within this course, we will select all the components as we would wish to integrate all these functionalities. Ensure that you select all the components and click the “save settings” button.
